| This series of collages addresses the sacredness of production, as discussed by Elias Canetti, which seems to transcend both the cursed cyclicality of production and consumption and the political ideologies underpinning economic systems. It challenges the illusion of continuous growth promised by linear economies, as well as the ethical frameworks of new circular economy models. The cement bag, positioned within a circle, proposes a critical reflection on the “magic circle” of production, productivity, and producers (Maurizio Lazzarato). This metaphor — of the bag inscribed within the circle — also self-reflectively comments on the artist’s condition as a producer, understood economically and valued as human capital. |
